São Paulo, Brazil, June 2024 – Eliane Medeiros has joined Be8 Energy as the new Director of People and Sustainability. In this role, Eliane will spearhead efforts to drive sustainable energy initiatives while preserving the company’s origins and commitment to the Earth.
Eliane previously served at Kuehne+Nagel for over seven years, most recently as the South and Central America Head of Customer + Employee Experience from July 2023 to June 2024 in Santiago, Chile. In this role, she focused on enhancing customer and employee experiences across the region. Prior to that, she was the Global and Regional HR Business Partner in Hamburg, Germany, from May 2022 to July 2023, where she was instrumental in developing HR strategies and supporting global and regional teams.
From December 2016 to May 2022, Eliane was the HR Director – Brazil at Kuehne+Nagel, overseeing HR operations for 12 branch offices and more than 26 warehouses. She led initiatives such as the Global Change Management Program and HR transformation in Brazil. Her earlier experience includes a six-year tenure as Head of HR – Americas at Gearbulk, where she was responsible for HR processes and negotiations with unions in the Americas region.
Eliane began her career at John Deere, where she held various roles over 11 years, including Manager Leadership Talent Development – South America and Training and Development Manager – South America. Her work at John Deere focused on leadership development, succession planning, and employee training.
Be8 Energy is a Brazilian renewable energy company headquartered in Passo Fundo, Rio Grande do Sul. The company operates production units in Marialva, Paraná; La Paloma del Espíritu Santo, Paraguay; and Domdidier, Switzerland. Be8 Energy is also constructing the Omega Green biorefinery in Villeta, Paraguay, which will produce advanced biofuels from vegetable and animal oils and fats.
In 2022, Be8 Energy announced the construction of an ethanol and bran production plant in Passo Fundo, Rio Grande do Sul, using cereals such as corn, wheat, triticale, rice, and sorghum. The plant is expected to begin operations in the second half of 2024.
