Stamford, Connecticut, United States, April 2025 – Elise Zimmerman has been appointed as Global Head of Human Resources at Freepoint Commodities, a global leader in commodities trading and logistics solutions. In her new role, Elise will oversee global HR strategy, talent initiatives, and organizational development across Freepoint’s diverse international markets, supporting the company’s continued growth and operational excellence.
Prior to joining Freepoint Commodities, Elise Zimmerman worked at Silver Point Capital, L.P. as part of the Human Resources and Recruitment team, where she contributed to driving talent acquisition strategies and strengthening the HR framework for a major investment firm.
Earlier, she served as Senior Vice President, HR Business Partner at Macquarie Group, where she led HR functions for Macquarie Asset Management and played a crucial role in integrating new business acquisitions, building compensation frameworks, and driving organizational development initiatives.
Previously, Elise was Director, HR Business Partner at WeWork, supporting multiple global teams during a period of rapid growth and restructuring, where she focused on organizational design, employee engagement, and inclusive leadership practices.
She spent over a decade at Blackstone, progressing through several key roles including Vice President, HR Business Partner – Global Real Estate and Director, Recruiter – Investment and Corporate Groups, where she was instrumental in building talent strategies for the firm’s investment and corporate teams globally.
