New York City, New York, United States, September 2025 – Elizabeth Verostek has joined Brooklyn Bridge Park as the Chief Financial Officer, bringing a wealth of strategic and financial leadership to one of New York City’s most iconic and transformative public spaces. In her new role, she will oversee financial planning, budgeting, and fiscal strategy to ensure the park’s long-term sustainability and growth as a premier urban civic destination.
Prior to this appointment, Elizabeth Verostek served as Director of Finance and Administration at The New York Climate Exchange for over a year, where she played a key role in building fiscal and operational infrastructure for the climate innovation hub. Her work supported the organization’s mission of advancing climate solutions through research, education, and collaboration.
Before this, she was the Chief Operating Officer at the Research Foundation of The City University of New York, where she led finance, operations, and administrative functions. Her tenure here was marked by a focus on driving efficiency, compliance, and strategic support across CUNY’s wide array of research activities.
She spent more than 11 years at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), culminating in her role as Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Her responsibilities spanned complex budgeting, grants management, and strategic financial leadership for major city development initiatives.
Earlier in her career, she held key finance roles with NYC Department of Education as a Senior Financial Analyst, and the New York City Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget as a Supervising Analyst, where she sharpened her expertise in public finance, analytics, and leadership development.
Her early professional journey included roles at RAND Council for Aid to Education, World Links, and Drexel University College of Medicine—building foundational skills in research, data analysis, and international operations. She holds an MA in Education Policy from The George Washington University.
