North Carolina, United States – November 2024 – Emily Borden has taken on the role of Director, People Analytics at Optum Health, part of UnitedHealth Group. In her new position, Borden will lead key people analytics initiatives to support UnitedHealth Group’s data-driven HR strategy, focusing on leveraging analytics for informed decision-making and enhancing organizational performance.
With nearly 18 years at UnitedHealth Group, Borden’s career showcases an extensive progression through various roles in analytics and process consulting. Most recently, she served as a Principal Consultant (Associate Director) – Optum People Analytics, where she implemented critical analytics processes and led strategic consulting for organizational insights. She played a pivotal role in gathering and analyzing requirements during a complex multi-year data migration, partnering with business leaders to navigate change management effectively across departments.
Previously, Borden worked as an Analytic Process & Change Consultant at Optum, where she guided end-to-end data integration processes, aligning cross-functional teams on project scope and communication. Her leadership extended to her role as Data Analyst II Team Lead, where she managed a team of analysts focused on operational data insights. She began her journey at Optum as a Senior Medical Cost Recovery Analyst, where she gained expertise in data recovery processes within the healthcare sector.
