Singapore, March 2025 – Eric Tan has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Population Health Campus at National Healthcare Group (NHG). With a distinguished career in human capital management, HR strategy, and change management, he will oversee HR functions for NHG’s Population Health Campus, driving workforce transformation and talent strategies to enhance healthcare delivery across Singapore’s Central and North regions.
Eric Tan joins National Healthcare Group from Sembcorp Industries Ltd, where he served as Head of HR for Singapore & Southeast Asia. In this role, he led the regional HR team, driving operational execution, change initiatives, and HR metrics to support the company’s energy and infrastructure business in the region.
Prior to that, he was the Group Head of HR at Woh Hup (Private) Limited, a leading construction firm, where he spearheaded HR strategy, leadership development, and workforce transformation for nearly three years. He was also the Head of HR, ASEAN at Boston Scientific, where he played a key role in talent development and HR initiatives across Southeast Asia’s medical technology sector.
Earlier, Tan spent nearly four years at Schaeffler, holding roles such as HR Director for Southeast Asia and HR Director – C&B Asia Pacific. During this time, he led compensation & benefits strategy, workforce planning, and HR business partnering for key industrial and automotive divisions across the Asia-Pacific region.
His extensive HR leadership experience includes senior roles at Cargill, Monsanto, and Kennametal, where he was instrumental in HR business partnering, talent management, and organizational transformation. He also had a 10-year tenure at Shell, where he worked in multiple HR leadership roles across retail, finance, and manufacturing, including an HR startup assignment in India.
