Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, September 2025 — Fahad Alhajri has been elevated to the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (A) at SAMI, marking a new milestone in his accomplished HR career. Alhajri has been with SAMI for more than three years, steadily progressing through key leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Director, HR Center of Excellence, leading four critical departments—Talent Management, Total Rewards & HR Policies, HR Excellence, and Organization Development—where he built the frameworks for succession planning, compensation design, compliance, and workforce planning.

Before that, he held the role of Director, HR Integration, where he established SAMI’s HR integration function to drive M&A frameworks, post-merger people and culture integration, and set up joint ventures from an HR perspective. He also acted as an HR “SWAT team,” managing HR functions within new acquisitions and subsidiaries, while contributing to culture enhancement, ERP implementation, and workforce planning.

In parallel, he also served as Director HRBP for SAMI Aerospace, supporting business leaders with strategic people initiatives. Earlier, as Director of Talent Acquisition, Alhajri designed and led the company’s recruitment strategy across multiple domains, ensuring a strong leadership and technical talent pipeline.

Prior to SAMI, Alhajri worked with Maaden as Manager of Talent Acquisition, leading the function across all regions. He spent over six years at SABIC, where he held progressive roles including Project Manager, Talent Acquisition Analyst, and Recruitment Specialist, managing global recruitment systems, transformation projects, and hiring strategies across multiple geographies. He began his career in administration and customer-facing roles with Dar Al-Handasah and Mouawad.

About SAMI

The Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), was established in 2017 as the Kingdom’s national defense and security champion. SAMI plays a pivotal role in supporting Saudi Vision 2030 by driving localization of 50% of the Kingdom’s defense spending. With a focus on advanced technologies, innovation, and world-class partnerships, SAMI develops defense systems and solutions across multiple domains, ensuring national security and contributing to the Kingdom’s self-sufficiency in defense industries.
