Arijit Majumdar Appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at Neo Metaliks Ltd.

Kolkata, West Bengal, India, September 2025 – Neo Metaliks Ltd., one of India’s premier pig iron producers, has announced the appointment of Arijit Majumdar as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In his new role, he will spearhead HR transformation, drive leadership and people capability building, and shape a progressive, high-performance culture aligned with the company’s growth ambitions.

Arijit most recently served as Head of HR & Administration at Veedol Corporation Limited (Tide Water Oil Company India Ltd.), where he was responsible for HR, IR, and people strategy. Over nearly four years, he played a pivotal role in aligning HR functions with business priorities and fostering organizational growth in a highly competitive industrial environment.

Prior to this, he was the HR Head (India Business) at Landis+Gyr, where he managed end-to-end HR operations and people strategy for the energy management and smart metering company. His leadership during this period was instrumental in strengthening workforce practices and supporting business transformation.

Arijit spent over a decade at Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Limited, where he advanced from Management Trainee to Divisional Manager of Corporate HR. His responsibilities spanned across corporate HR, industrial relations, and strategic workforce planning, giving him deep exposure to large-scale HR management in the steel and allied industries.

He began his career as Manager HR & IR at Tata Steel Processing and Distribution Ltd. (formerly Tata Ryerson), where he gained foundational experience in HR operations, employee relations, and talent development. These early experiences cemented his expertise in managing complex HR ecosystems in the manufacturing sector.

Arijit holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management from IBS Kolkata (2003–2005), equipping him with strong academic grounding in HR and organizational management to complement his extensive industry experience.
