Schiphol, North Holland, Netherlands, March 2025 – Samsung Electronics Benelux has appointed Freek Z. as its new Head of People Operations & Data. With a deep background in HR data analytics, reporting, and operations, Freek will be responsible for streamlining people operations, driving data-driven decision-making, and enhancing HR processes at Samsung Electronics’ Benelux operations.
Prior to this appointment, Freek Z. served as an HR Data Analyst at Samsung Electronics Benelux for over two years, where he played a key role in developing HR reporting systems, improving data quality, and supporting HR business partners with data-driven insights.
Before joining Samsung, he worked as an HR Business Analyst at Technische Unie, where he specialized in HR data analysis, process optimization, and business intelligence reporting.
Freek also spent eight years at Nike, where he held multiple roles in HR Reporting & Data Analytics across EMEA and Western & Eastern Europe. During his tenure, he was instrumental in building Nike’s HR data strategy, improving HR data systems, and supporting global HR analytics projects.
His earlier career includes leadership roles in HR Reporting and Data Management at Vattenfall and Nuon, where he contributed to cross-border HR reporting, data integration, and process management.
