London, United Kingdom, October 2024 – Barbara Horsfield has taken on the role of Head of People Management – EMEA at AlixPartners, where she will be responsible for driving people-centric strategies across the region, contributing to the firm’s rapid response in complex business challenges.
Before joining AlixPartners, Barbara served as the People Director – Business Partnering at QBE Insurance (International) Limited for nearly seven years, leading strategic HR initiatives and supporting business transformation efforts across the UK and Europe.
Prior to QBE, she held the position of Director of Human Resources at Barclays, where she was instrumental in implementing global HR strategies. During her time at Bank of America Merrill, Barbara was the Senior Vice President of HR, leading the HR Business Partner team for the EMEA Fixed Income, Currencies, Commodities, Equities, and Research Divisions.
Barbara also gained extensive HR leadership experience as an Executive Director of Human Resources at Morgan Stanley, where she oversaw HR coverage for the EMEA Institutional Securities Group. Earlier in her career, she held several HR roles at Olswang (Now CMS), Linklaters, and Marks and Spencer, gaining expertise in HR generalist functions, recruitment, and strategic HR consulting.
