Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2025 – Gaurav Kaul has been elevated to Chief Commercial Head Rx at Cipla. In this strategic leadership role, he will oversee Cipla’s prescription (Rx) business, driving commercial growth and strengthening market leadership. With his extensive experience in sales, marketing, and business transformation, Gaurav is well-positioned to further enhance Cipla’s impact in the pharmaceutical industry.
Gaurav has been with Cipla for four years, previously serving as Chief Commercial Head, Respiratory. During his tenure, he led the P&L for the Respiratory category, achieving a ₹3,800 crore turnover and securing Cipla’s top position in the Indian Pharmaceutical Market (IPM). His leadership in innovative patient engagement programs like Breathefree and consumer campaigns such as Berok and Tuffies significantly improved the quality of life for respiratory patients.
Prior to Cipla, Gaurav spent nearly eight years at GSK Consumer Healthcare India, where he held multiple leadership roles, including General Manager, East (Unilever) and General Manager, West. His responsibilities included managing the nutrition and pharmacy portfolios, leading sales integration efforts, and serving as Country Integration Lead. He was also a Board Member of GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Pvt. Ltd., contributing to strategic growth initiatives.
Before GSK, Gaurav held leadership positions at Cadbury India (now Mondelez), Conagra Brands, The Coca-Cola Company, and Pidilite Industries. His roles spanned across shopper and customer marketing, area sales management, and business planning, giving him deep expertise in sales, distribution, and consumer engagement across multiple industries.
