Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 2025 – Gaurav Rajput has stepped into the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India Group), one of India’s most influential media conglomerates. In this pivotal leadership role, Gaurav will oversee brand, marketing, and P&L initiatives for flagship titles including The Times of India, The Economic Times, Navbharat Times, Maharashtra Times, Delhi Times, Bombay Times, and Mumbai Mirror.
Prior to joining BCCL, Gaurav Rajput served at Standard Chartered for over eight years, most recently as Managing Director, Global Head – Corporate & Investment Bank Marketing. His earlier leadership roles at the bank included Head of Consumer Bank Marketing – Asia and Head of Corporate Affairs, Brand, and Marketing – India & South Asia, where he led integrated marketing and brand strategies across international and Indian markets, championing digital adoption, thought leadership, and customer-centric innovation.
Earlier, Gaurav was Chief Marketing Officer at IDFC Bank, where he played a key role in building the brand from its early years and driving consumer engagement strategies across retail banking. He also held the position of Chief Marketing & Digital Officer at Cigna TTK Health Insurance, where he led product marketing, digital transformation, and strategic partnerships in the healthcare insurance domain.
Previously, he worked as Director – Marketing & Digital at Aviva, VP – Marketing & Customer Segments at Citibank India, and held marketing roles at NDTV, Rediffusion Y&R, and FCB Ulka, building a well-rounded foundation across media, financial services, and advertising sectors.
