Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, October 2024 – Gina Cosh Martindale has been named Chief Human Resources at Martello Re, a life and annuity reinsurer backed by $1.65 billion of capital. In her new role, Gina will lead the company’s HR strategy, talent acquisition, and organizational development to support Martello Re’s growth and strengthen its position in the reinsurance industry.
Before joining Martello Re, Gina was Managing Director of Global Human Resources at Barings for nearly 7 years. At Barings, she led a wide range of human resources initiatives, including global talent acquisition, employee engagement, and leadership development, ensuring the company’s workforce remained aligned with its strategic goals. Gina also played a key role in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEIB) initiatives across the organization.
Gina’s earlier experience includes a 3-year tenure as an Educator at Charlotte Country Day School, where she contributed to the academic development of students while honing her skills in relationship-building and communication. Her passion for DEIB and coaching further strengthened during this period.
At Touche LLP, Gina served as a Human Resources Manager for over 2 years, focusing on diversity and inclusion efforts, as well as managing national pre-college outreach programs. She also held multiple HR leadership roles during her nearly 9-year career at Deloitte, where she managed recruitment, performance management, and operational support for the Carolinas offices, further developing her expertise in people management.
