A.P. Moller – Maersk has appointed Girija Shanker as Chief Product Officer for Logistics and Services in India and South Asia. Shanker brings over two decades of rich experience in strategic sales and digital transformation within the logistics and services sector.
Before joining A.P. Moller – Maersk, Shanker was pivotal at TVS Supply Chain Solutions Limited India, where he served as Chief Sales and Solutions Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Service Spares. During his tenure from April 2019 to April 2024, he was instrumental in transforming the supply chain for major multinational and Indian clients, driving significant growth through innovative digital solutions.
Prior to his role at TVS, Shanker had a significant tenure at IBM, where he held multiple leadership positions, including Executive Director and Partner for Digital Services. From January 2018 to April 2019, he led IBM’s business growth by driving digital transformation initiatives for clients in the BFSI and consumer industries.
His earlier experiences include strategic roles at General Electric and as a Project Manager at Wipro Technologies, where he led telecommunication services projects. These roles have seasoned him with a broad perspective and deep insights into the operational and strategic aspects of technology and service management.
