Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, May 2025 – Greg Mackie has stepped into the role of Vice President Human Resources at Methanex Corporation, the world’s largest producer and supplier of methanol. With over two decades of progressive HR leadership experience across industrial and manufacturing sectors, Mackie will spearhead global people strategies to support Methanex’s strategic priorities, talent development, and operational excellence.
Prior to joining Methanex, Greg served for over four years at West Fraser as General Manager, Talent Development, where he led critical initiatives in workforce capability building, leadership development, and succession planning across the organization.
Before that, Greg spent nearly seven years with Norbord, first as Director of Human Resources and later as Vice President Human Resources. He played a pivotal role in shaping HR systems, talent pipelines, and organizational culture during a period of growth and operational integration.
Earlier in his career, he was Employee Relations Manager at BC Ferries, where he helped guide complex labor relations strategies and employee engagement across a unionized environment. He also held HR leadership roles at QM Bearings and began his professional career in sales with Pitney Bowes.
