London, United Kingdom, November 2024 – Helen Gadenne has joined Argenta Group as the Chief People Officer, bringing with her nearly three decades of extensive HR leadership experience across insurance and retail sectors. In this role, Gadenne will be responsible for spearheading people strategies, driving organizational change, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the group.
As Chief People Officer, Gadenne will lead the HR function across Argenta’s global operations, including Lloyd’s Syndicate Management and international underwriting platforms. Her leadership will focus on advancing talent acquisition, performance management, and diversity initiatives to align the company’s human capital strategies with its business objectives.
Before joining Argenta Group, Helen Gadenne took a brief career break, during which she pursued personal projects. Prior to this, she served as the HR Director for UK & Europe at Hiscox, where she led a team of 30 HR professionals overseeing 1,700 employees across nine countries. During her tenure of over 17 years, she achieved significant milestones, including improving employee engagement scores, post-Brexit reorganization of the European business, and executing large-scale business transformations to streamline operations.
Previously, Gadenne held the position of HR Director – UK at Hiscox, where she established new HR teams in regional hubs, developed diversity and inclusion initiatives, and designed programs to enhance the employee value proposition. Her work contributed to the growth and strategic alignment of HR practices within the company.
Earlier in her career, she served as HR Director – UK Retail at Willis, leading multi-site HR teams and implementing HR systems, competency models, and performance management tools across the UK business.
