Nottingham, England, United Kingdom, May 2025 – Helen McNamara has been appointed as the new Chief People Officer at the University of Nottingham, a prestigious global institution known for its transformative education and research. In this key leadership role, Helen will lead the university’s people strategy, including talent development, organizational culture, and workforce transformation across its campuses in the UK, China, and Malaysia.
Helen brings more than two decades of expertise in human resources, organizational development, and strategic leadership. She most recently served as the Director of Organisation and People Development at the University of Nottingham for over three years, where she played a central role in driving progressive people initiatives and cultural transformation.
Earlier, she spent nearly twelve years at the Care Quality Commission as Head of Organisational Development, where she led major development programs focused on workforce capability and leadership. Her previous experience also includes her tenure as HR Business Partner at Davis Langdon & Seah Consulting India Pvt. Ltd., where she supported international HR operations. In parallel, she continues to contribute to education governance as a Non-Executive Director at L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, a role she has held for nearly six years.
