Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2024 – Himanshu Kapadia has been promoted to Director HR – India HR Lead at The Walt Disney Company, where he will lead HR strategies and operations across India. In this role, Himanshu will shape organizational culture, oversee leadership development, and implement regional HR strategies aligned with Disney’s global objectives.

Himanshu joined The Walt Disney Company as an HR Business Partner and quickly demonstrated his ability to drive HR transformation and talent management initiatives. Over the years, he expanded his responsibilities, partnering with strategic business units, including Media Networks, Studio Entertainment, and global corporate functions. He played a key role in the integration of Disney and 21st Century Fox operations, solidifying his position as a trusted HR leader.

Prior to joining Disney, Himanshu was with DBS Bank, where he served as an HR Business Partner supporting Corporate Banking and Transaction Services. He designed and executed HR strategies in talent management, employee engagement, and succession planning. He also led campus relations initiatives, ensuring a strong pipeline of future leaders for the bank.

At HDFC Bank, Himanshu supported Retail Branch Banking and Trade and Forex Services. He managed HR for over 700 employees across multiple locations, driving recruitment, employee engagement, and career progression programs. His leadership in large-scale workforce planning and expansion projects earned him recognition for operational excellence.

Earlier in his career, Himanshu held HR roles at organizations such as Hindustan Unilever, ABN AMRO Bank, and Tata Communications, where he developed expertise in HR transformation, performance management, and organizational development. These diverse experiences laid the foundation for his strategic approach to human resources.
