Titusville, New Jersey, United States, January 2026 — Johnson & Johnson has appointed Howard Furman as Head of Human Resources, Innovative Medicine Supply Chain Plan and Deliver, effective January 2026. Based in Titusville, New Jersey, Furman will support the people agenda for a critical supply chain organization within Innovative Medicine, helping strengthen workforce strategy, leadership capability, and culture across planning and delivery priorities.
A long-tenured Johnson & Johnson leader, Furman brings 10 years of experience across talent management, executive development, and business unit HR partnering, with a track record of building capability through data-driven programs, executive coaching, and enterprise talent initiatives.
Prior to this appointment, Howard Furman served in a temporary expanded role as Business Unit HR: US ASA, Strategic Contracting and Policy, where he focused on strategic HR business partnering—supporting organizational design, executive coaching, and culture priorities in a complex, highly regulated environment.
Before that, he was Head, Talent Management, Innovative Medicine, leading talent identification, succession and leadership development, workforce planning, and talent assessment efforts to strengthen bench strength and accelerate capability-building across the Innovative Medicine portfolio.
Earlier, Furman held the role of Global Executive Development within the J&J Learn organization, where he led a high-touch executive development portfolio, including delivery of a high-potential development program, executive orientation workshops, and executive coaching coordination—leveraging insights and dashboards to continuously improve talent outcomes and experience.
He previously contributed as HR Leader – Global Talent Management (GTM) Partnership Group, supporting end-to-end talent management solutions spanning assessment, performance, succession, development, and change management, while partnering with senior stakeholders to execute programs that drive measurable value.
In earlier roles within Johnson & Johnson, he supported enterprise capability-building as Manager, Finance Training and Development and Senior Analyst, Training – Global Finance Talent Management, designing and delivering onboarding and leadership development experiences, managing learning platforms and communications, and using dashboards and analytics to refine program effectiveness.
Before joining Johnson & Johnson full-time, Furman also gained early exposure to the organization as a Finance Intern, building foundational business understanding that later informed his cross-functional approach to talent and organizational development. He also brings external experience in talent development and HR from Under Armour, Spencer Gifts, and Xerox, where he supported learning, onboarding, compliance, and employee service delivery.
