International Data Group (IDG), a preeminent market intelligence and data firm, announced the appointment of two pivotal leaders to its Foundry division.
On March 28, 2024, seasoned digital media executive Mike Finnerty was named President of Foundry and a key player in the IDG executive leadership team, under the direct supervision of IDG Chief Executive Officer Genevieve Juillard.
In a parallel announcement, Ann-Christel Graham, celebrated for her extensive background in technology sales, has assumed the role of Chief Revenue Officer at Foundry, tasked with guiding the company’s commercial teams and bolstering Foundry’s strategic execution in collaboration with IDG’s IDC division.
This dual leadership infusion, combining Finnerty’s digital media acumen with Graham’s technology sales expertise, positions Foundry to broaden its footprint in the burgeoning first-party demand generation market. Rooted in a 60-year legacy as a primary source of technology insights and guidance for a global tech audience, the appointments are set to amplify Foundry’s industry relationships and catalyze its ongoing expansion.
Genevieve Juillard expressed confidence in the newly appointed leaders, stating, “Mike’s extensive experience growing and scaling global media businesses will accelerate our efforts to capture the long-term opportunities in the dynamic B2B demand generation market.” Juillard anticipates that Finnerty and Graham’s joint efforts will foster innovation across Foundry’s comprehensive suite of media and marketing solutions, facilitating new collaboration avenues across the IDG ecosystem.
Finnerty brings over 25 years of leadership in global media, data, and performance marketing to his new role. His prior tenure as leader of the Technology & Shopping businesses at Ziff Davis saw him overseeing a global portfolio of prominent consumer technology brands and B2B media platforms. His strategic and product development roles at The Weather Company (IBM) and Comcast further underscore his digital media prowess.
Finnerty shared his vision for Foundry, highlighting its unique position to revolutionize the demand generation category through its proprietary data, tech-enabled offerings, and rich content experiences, all integrated within the broader IDG platform. “With our proprietary first-party data, tech-enabled offerings, rich content experiences, and seamless integration into the broader IDG platform, no one is better positioned to innovate in the demand generation category,” he remarked.
Graham, stepping into her role as CRO and reporting to Finnerty, brings a wealth of experience from leading SaaS, managed service, and technology sales teams at world-renowned technology firms. Her previous roles include Chief Revenue Officer at Velocity Global and Talend, as well as leadership positions at SAP Concur.
Graham expressed enthusiasm about Foundry’s capacity to deliver unparalleled technology marketing solutions, emphasizing the synergies with IDC in enhancing the technology supplier-to-buyer lifecycle. “Together with IDC, we are already more integrated across the full spectrum of the technology supplier-to-buyer lifecycle than any other company,” she stated, looking forward to driving even greater alignment between their go-to-market strategies.
