Munich, Bavaria, Germany, April 2025 – Irena Jorgensen has taken on the role of Chief Learning Officer at Learnship, marking a new chapter in her distinguished career in education and learning innovation. In this strategic leadership position, she will guide Learnship’s global learning philosophy and product strategy, enhancing the company’s mission to empower professionals worldwide through impactful, human-centered language and intercultural training.
Prior to this elevation, Irena Jorgensen served as Vice President, Academy at Learnship, where she shaped the organization’s educational design, faculty development, and learner engagement strategies. She also held the role of Vice President, Operations, leading critical service delivery and operational excellence initiatives for four years, during which she played a key role in scaling the organization’s learning ecosystem across geographies.
Earlier at Learnship, she was the Head of Academic Operations, where she led faculty onboarding, curriculum implementation, and delivery models that strengthened the company’s award-winning virtual classroom experience. Her earlier career includes leadership roles in service and program operations with Wall Street English in both Germany and China, where she managed nationwide delivery models and drove digital transformation in adult education.
She also worked at Pearson as Operations Program Manager, where she led transformation projects across global markets, including China and Italy, for the Wall Street English brand. In her early years, Irena gained extensive cross-cultural experience as a trainer, manager, and leader in China with both EF English First and Wall Street English.
