Dubai, UAE, October 2024 – Aster DM Healthcare has announced the appointment of Jacob Jacob as Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Jacob brings with him more than two decades of expertise in HR strategy, leadership development, and organizational transformation. In this new role, he will drive the HR strategy across Aster DM’s extensive healthcare network, focusing on talent management and fostering a culture of innovation.

Prior to joining Aster DM Healthcare, Jacob Jacob served as Group/Global Chief Human Resources Officer at Malabar Group for over three years. During his tenure, he led the HR strategy across multiple locations, including Calicut, Bangalore, and Dubai. His focus was on global talent management, leadership development, and enhancing employee engagement to drive organizational growth.

Before his time at Malabar Group, Jacob worked independently as a Leadership Coach and Consultant, offering his expertise to organizations and individuals. He specialized in executive coaching, HR consulting, and leadership transformation, helping organizations improve their strategic HR operations and leadership capabilities.

Jacob also held the position of Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Columbia Asia Healthcare in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he led HR initiatives for over three years. His work focused on implementing HR transformation projects, aligning HR practices with business objectives, and driving employee engagement across the healthcare group.

His earlier experience includes his role as Group Chief People Officer at Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Ltd. for almost seven years, where he was responsible for transforming the organization’s HR strategy, fostering leadership development, and improving talent management processes.

Jacob Jacob started his career in HR with Emirates Airline, where he worked as Human Resources Specialist – Business Support for five years. His expertise in managing large-scale HR operations, recruitment, and organizational transformation laid the foundation for his later leadership roles.
