Morris Plains, New Jersey, United States, July 2025 – Jason Clifford has been appointed as Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Solstice Advanced Materials, a newly announced spin-off from Honeywell, positioned to become a leading global provider of sustainability-focused specialty chemicals and materials. In his new role, Clifford will lead the global Human Resources and Communications function, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company’s people strategy during a transformative period.
Clifford joins Solstice Advanced Materials after a distinguished tenure of over two years at Analog Devices, where he served as Vice President, Human Resources – Global Operations & Technology and Regional HR Leader, guiding HR strategy for ADI’s global footprint. Prior to this, Clifford built a long-standing career at Honeywell, spanning nearly 17 years across multiple business groups and global HR leadership roles. His key leadership roles included VP, HR & Communications – Honeywell Building Technologies, VP, HR – Performance Materials & Technologies, and VP, Corporate HR, overseeing talent, leadership development, and HR support for senior leaders.
Clifford also held strategic HR leadership roles earlier in his career at PepsiCo, DuPont, and ARAMARK, contributing to both operational and transformation-focused mandates. His broad-based expertise in industrial, technology, and service sectors, combined with a strong academic foundation—an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management—make him ideally suited to lead HR at this newly independent materials leader.
The announcement of Clifford’s appointment follows Honeywell’s October 2024 declaration to spin off its Advanced Materials business into a standalone public company—Solstice Advanced Materials—expected to be completed by late 2025 or early 2026. As part of Honeywell’s broader strategic refocus on automation, aviation, and energy transition, the spin-off aims to unlock shareholder value and empower the new entity with greater strategic and financial flexibility.
Solstice Advanced Materials is set to become a pure-play sustainability-focused specialty chemicals and materials company with approximately $3.8 billion in annual revenue and an EBITDA margin exceeding 25%, according to Honeywell projections. Its well-established portfolio includes innovative and industry-leading brands such as Solstice®, Spectra®, Hydranal®, and Aclar®, serving industries ranging from electronics and pharmaceuticals to defense and environmental solutions. With a strong foundation in next-generation chemistry and a large-scale domestic manufacturing base, Solstice is positioned to scale innovation, sustainability, and impact in the global chemicals sector.
