Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, Oman, October 2025 – Jayaraman Karunakaran has been appointed as Head of Human Resources at Dhofar Pharmaceutical Industries Co. LLC, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer specializing in sterile parenteral preparations and life-saving medicines. In his new capacity, Jayaraman will oversee the company’s HR strategy, employee engagement, and organizational development, focusing on fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the organization.
Jayaraman brings over two decades of rich HR leadership experience spanning multiple geographies and the pharmaceutical sector. Before joining Dhofar Pharmaceutical Industries, he served as Human Resources Manager at Prince Pharma SARL in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he led the HR function for three years, driving key initiatives in workforce management, compliance, and organizational capability enhancement.
Prior to that, he spent five years at Oman Pharmaceutical Products, where he served as Senior Human Resources Officer, contributing to HR policy development, employee relations, and performance management systems across the company’s operations in Muscat.
Earlier in his career, Jayaraman worked at Commonwealth Pharmaceutical in Puducherry, India, as Assistant Manager – Human Resources, managing HR processes for nearly a decade, with a strong focus on recruitment, training, and employee welfare. His tenure at Commonwealth laid a solid foundation for his subsequent international HR leadership roles.
