Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland, March 2025 – Jodie Sandford has been appointed as Vice President, People & Culture Smoke-Free Products at Philip Morris International (PMI). In her new role, she will lead the people and culture strategies for PMI’s smoke-free product division, driving talent initiatives and organizational effectiveness to support the company’s transformation towards a smoke-free future.
Jodie Sandford has been with Philip Morris International for over 27 years, holding key leadership positions in human resources and operations. Before this appointment, she served as Vice President, Swedish Match Integration, where she played a pivotal role in the successful integration of Swedish Match into PMI. She was responsible for aligning workforce strategies, culture integration, and organizational restructuring to optimize business performance.
Prior to that, she held the position of Head of People & Culture Programs & Governance, where she spearheaded enterprise-wide HR programs, governance structures, and strategic initiatives to enhance talent development and employee engagement. She also served as Director, People & Culture, Australia & New Zealand, overseeing HR operations and workforce strategies for the region, focusing on employee experience and organizational development.
Her previous experience at PMI includes roles such as Manager of Organizational Transformation, Manager of HR Management & Organizational Development, and Manager of Human Resources – Operations. Earlier in her career, she held various leadership positions in manufacturing, operations, and finance, demonstrating her broad expertise across multiple business functions.
Before joining Philip Morris International, Jodie Sandford worked at Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC), where she began her career as an Audit Manager.
