Hillsboro, Oregon, United States, January 2026 – John Robinson has been appointed as Chief People Officer at First Tech Federal Credit Union, marking a significant leadership milestone in his global people leadership journey. In this role, he will lead enterprise-wide human resources, learning, leadership development and workforce transformation strategies supporting one of the most forward-thinking member-owned financial institutions in the United States.
John Robinson has built a strong leadership legacy within First Tech Federal Credit Union, where he previously served as Senior Vice President – Human Resources & Learning. In this role, he led executive management, leadership development and workforce strategy initiatives across the organisation’s rapidly growing member and employee base.
Prior to First Tech, John served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Absolute Software, where he led people strategy for a global technology security company, and earlier as Chief Human Resources & Administrative Officer at Tapestry Solutions, strengthening people and administrative leadership across defence and technology sectors.
He also served as Division Director – Global Human Resources at Black & Veatch, where he led global HR strategy across complex engineering and infrastructure operations.
Earlier in his career, John built extensive global HR leadership exposure as a Global HR Leader and Contractor, supporting organisations including SAIC, Nextel, Raytheon (Antarctica), KBR (Iraq & Afghanistan), and ITT Systems (Afghanistan), bringing rare frontline and global workforce leadership experience.
