New Delhi, India, February 2025 – Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd. & Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) today inaugurated a world-class HVAC Training Facility at DSEU Campus to run Skill Development Programs that aim to enhance students and technicians’ knowledge and skills in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technologies.

This follows the signing of the MoU in October 2024 between Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd. & Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) to establish an HVAC training center with complete HVAC training equipment at DSEU campus for students and technicians.

As part of this collaboration, Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd. has provided state-of-the-art resources, including HVAC units, equipment, and training material, while DSEU has developed extensive infrastructure within its campus, ensuring a conducive environment for imparting high-quality training. This partnership will not only foster skills development for students and technicians but also support faculty training and innovation, enabling them to inculcate the latest industry trends and technologies.

Through this facility, both Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd. and DSEU will run training programs where Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd. has provided the tools and equipment required, while DSEU will leverage its training resources for students and technicians’ education. The partnership envisions students and technicians working on live projects and getting internship opportunities with the organization, which will unleash their potential to eventually work with the organization or its Channel Partners. Furthermore, Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd. will conduct workshops and programs to enhance the skills of DSEU faculty.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Sudhakaran, Managing Director of Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Limited in the India & South Asia Region, said, “This collaboration with DSEU is a testament to our commitment to creating a highly skilled workforce that is prepared for the demands of the HVAC industry. By equipping students and technicians with cutting-edge knowledge and practical experience, we aim to contribute to both Delhi’s and India’s economic growth by building a talent pool that is ready to take on future challenges.”

Professor (Dr.) Ashok K. Nagawat, Vice Chancellor of DSEU, added, “At DSEU, we are focused on providing our students with an education that is closely aligned with industry needs. This partnership with Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd. not only strengthens our HVAC curriculum but also enhances our ability to deliver hands-on training, which is vital for market readiness. We are excited about the opportunities this collaboration presents for our students, technicians, and faculty.”

This HVAC Training Centre reinforces DSEU’s vision to be a leader in applied sciences and skill development, with a focus on market readiness and innovation. Together, DSEU and Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning India Ltd. aim to create a sustainable future for the HVAC industry by fostering a well-trained and employable human resource base.
