The upcoming Phone (3a) series will be produced in Chennai, bolstering the company’s focus on domestic production. Moreover, Nothing plans to expand its retail footprint across India, targeting over 12,000 stores nationwide. Akis Evangelidis began his career deeply entrenched in the tech world, initially gaining significant exposure as a Global Campaign Manager at Sony Mobile Communications. After a year, he transitioned to Sony Electronics in Europe, where he managed digital imaging accessories and lenses. His tenure at Sony was marked by a notable 85% year-on-year growth in his product line, amidst a generally declining market.
Evangelidis’s journey continued at OnePlus, where he first took the role of Marketing Manager in France, eventually rising to Head of Communications for Europe. His leadership spanned nearly five years, during which he was instrumental in several major acquisitions and expanded OnePlus’s footprint across various international markets, including China, India, and the UAE.
Before stepping into his current role, Evangelidis co-founded Nothing in London, taking on the mantle of Co-Founder and Marketing lead. His profound impact on the company’s marketing strategy helped carve its niche in the competitive tech industry.
