Arlington, Virginia, United States, June 2025 – Jordan Turek has joined National Cooperative Bank (NCB) as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), where he will be responsible for developing and executing the bank’s comprehensive information security strategy. In this critical leadership role, Jordan will oversee security policies and controls, regulatory compliance, and incident response capabilities, ensuring the highest standards of protection for NCB’s data and technology assets.
Before joining NCB, Jordan Turek served as Deputy Chief Information Security Officer at Sandy Spring Bank for over three years. There, he led holistic cybersecurity strategies to protect the bank’s data and assets, partnered with IT, business, and legal teams to align cybersecurity with business strategies, and defined key performance indicators for executive management and board reporting. His leadership contributed to robust defenses against both internal and external threats while enabling secure and seamless customer experiences.
Prior to Sandy Spring Bank, Jordan held the position of Chief Cyber Security Strategist at Leidos, where he managed a multi-million dollar Zero Trust R&D program. He led a team of technologists to develop and demonstrate innovative cybersecurity solutions, aligning them with government customer needs, and played a key advisory role in VA IT modernization. Earlier, as Chief Information Officer for the City of Marco Island, he led technology services to enhance citizen engagement and productivity, and as Head of Information Security and Technology Director at ConnectYourCare, he implemented and improved core information security programs.
Jordan’s career also includes leadership roles at Cipher | A Prosegur company as Director, Global Security Operations, PayPal as Manager, Information Risk Management and Security Operations, and Bill Me Later, Inc. as IT Security Manager, as well as earlier management experience at SAIC. He has contributed to academia as Adjunct Faculty in Information Technology and Cybersecurity programs at both American Public University System and Colorado Technical University, demonstrating a commitment to advancing the profession through education and mentorship.
