Gurgaon, Haryana, India, February 2025 – Kamal Dua has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Airtel Africa, effective after the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in July 2025. He succeeds Jaideep Paul, who is set to transition into a new role within the Bharti Group. With over 15 years at Airtel and extensive experience in financial leadership across Bacardi, Tata Teleservices, and Idea Cellular Ltd, Kamal Dua brings deep expertise in financial planning, reporting, business strategy, and commercial finance to his new role.
Before this appointment, Kamal Dua served as Executive Vice President – Financial Controller at Bharti Airtel, where he played a pivotal role in overseeing financial reporting, planning, and strategy for the company. His leadership contributed to strengthening the financial health of Airtel’s global operations.
Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President – Finance & Commercial Head at Bharti Airtel, where he managed key commercial functions, financial planning, and risk assessment. His expertise in financial structuring helped drive efficiency and profitability across multiple business verticals.
Earlier, he held the role of Global FP&A Head at Bharti Airtel, where he was responsible for financial planning and analysis across Airtel’s international markets. He also led financial reporting for Airtel India’s mobile business and served as Head of Business Planning & Analysis for India and South Asia, demonstrating strong financial acumen in regional and global operations.
Before joining Bharti Airtel, Kamal Dua gained valuable experience in financial management at Idea Cellular Ltd, Tata Teleservices, and Bacardi Martini India Limited, working in various finance leadership roles and strengthening his expertise in business analytics, strategic financial planning, and commercial finance.
