Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, July 2024 – Kannan N.R. has started a new role as Executive Director at Archean Chemical Industries Limited, marking an exciting development in his career.
Kannan N.R. brings extensive leadership experience and expertise in the chemical industry to his new position at Archean Chemical Industries Limited. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Executive Officer at Excel Industries Ltd. for seven years, where he oversaw significant operational and strategic growth. Before Excel Industries, he held the position of Executive Vice President at Sanmar Speciality Chemicals Ltd., where he was responsible for operations, purchase, business development, and marketing.
Kannan’s earlier career includes a long tenure at Atul Ltd, where he served in various leadership roles, including General Manager for Atul China Ltd. He was instrumental in managing the company’s activities in China, marketing Atul India’s products, and sourcing raw materials. He also held the positions of General Manager-Business Development and General Manager-Corporate EHS at Atul Ltd.
Before joining Atul Ltd., Kannan worked at ICI India Limited as Works Manager and Production Manager, contributing to the company’s operational excellence. He began his career in production management roles at Hoechst India Ltd and Ciba-Atul Limited, where he honed his skills in managing production processes and teams.
