Pune, Maharashtra, India, January 2026 – Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has announced the appointment of Karishhma Kumar as Chief Information Officer, strengthening its digital leadership as the group accelerates technology-led transformation across its six iconic automotive brands in India.
In her new role, Karishhma will lead the enterprise IT strategy, digital transformation roadmap, cybersecurity governance, cloud modernization and data-driven innovation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, manufacturing excellence and customer experience across Volkswagen, Škoda Auto, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini and Porsche in India.
Karishhma joins SAVWIPL after leading the India IT Service Line at Beiersdorf, where she drove GCC P&L, Asia–Emerging Markets IT heartbeat strategy and large-scale service excellence programs.
Before that, she held senior leadership roles at Otis Elevator Co., where she served as Director – Digital Technology (APAC Manufacturing & India) and earlier as General Manager – Digital Technology (India), leading cloud, IoT, customer journey transformation and manufacturing digitisation initiatives.
She earlier spent over a decade with the Tata Motors Group, including as Head – IT & Digital Initiatives at Tata Motors Insurance Broking & Advisory Services, where she positioned the organisation as a digital-first insurance broker, and previously as Deputy General Manager – IT Programs and National Key Account Manager at Tata Motors, driving CRM transformation and enterprise IT strategy deployment.
Her early career included strategic account and business development leadership roles at Omnitech InfoSolutions, Futurism Technologies and DesignTech Systems.
Karishhma holds an MBA in Marketing & Systems from KIT IMER (Shivaji University) and has completed executive programs at IIM Ahmedabad in CRM and Strategic IT Management, along with advanced leadership programs in business warfare and digital strategy.
