Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2025 – Kartik Iyer has joined Cohizon Life Sciences (formerly Sajjan India Ltd.), a CVC portfolio company, as Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer. In this newly assumed role, Kartik will lead the company’s HR strategy and operations as it continues its transformation into one of India’s fastest-growing CDMOs (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations) in the life sciences sector.

Kartik joins Cohizon after an impactful tenure of over six years at Covestro, where he served most recently as Head of Human Resources – India. There, he led the people strategy across the country, covering three manufacturing sites and commercial operations, while also serving on the Country Council. His leadership saw the localization and implementation of global HR programs and successful execution of major transformation initiatives.

Prior to this, he held multiple senior HR roles at Solvay, including Manager – Talent Acquisition & Employee Engagement and Zone Asia Talent Acquisition Specialist, overseeing India, Thailand, and Singapore. His contributions in employer branding, employee engagement, and HR communications were instrumental in strengthening Solvay’s regional talent pipeline.

Earlier in his career, Kartik served as Assistant General Manager – Human Resources at Unimark Remedies Ltd., where he provided strategic HR leadership across talent attraction, engagement, and change management. His previous roles at Piramal Group, Eastman Kodak, and NamanHR further reinforced his capabilities in HR business partnering, leadership development, and organizational design.

Kartik began his career at HyperCITY Retail (India) Ltd., where he transitioned from Management Trainee to Officer – Human Resources, gaining hands-on experience in recruitment, store-level HR operations, and performance management.

Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
