Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, February 2026 — Torrent Power has appointed Anuj Shah as Vice President – Human Resources, where he will lead the HR function for the company’s licensed power distribution business. With a strong track record in HR leadership and people strategy, his appointment is expected to further reinforce Torrent Power’s people agenda across critical distribution operations and customer-facing energy services.

In his new role at Torrent Power, Anuj Shah will be responsible for leading HR for the licensed power distribution business, supporting leadership teams through strategic workforce planning, capability building, and organization-wide HR transformation initiatives.

Prior to joining Torrent Power, Anuj spent nearly two decades with Intas Pharmaceuticals, building deep expertise across HR operations and large-scale people leadership. Over this period, he held key leadership roles including Associate Vice President and Senior General Manager, where he contributed significantly to HR governance, leadership development, and execution of people strategies in a fast-growing pharmaceutical environment.

His long tenure at Intas reflects strong continuity in HR leadership, and a mature understanding of scaling talent systems, building managerial capability, and enabling high-performance culture — strengths that will be central to his responsibilities at Torrent Power.

Anuj Shah holds a Master in Social Work (MSW) from Sardar Patel University.
