Sizewell, England, United Kingdom, April 2025 – Kath Dunne has been appointed as Head of Group Talent and Mobility at the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), stepping into a pivotal leadership role focused on talent strategy, mobility, and workforce development across the NDA group.

In her new position, Kath will lead initiatives that promote internal mobility, career growth, and talent optimization across the group’s 17 nuclear sites. She will oversee cross-functional career development strategies that align with the NDA’s long-term mission of nuclear decommissioning while supporting employees in gaining broad and meaningful experience across the organization.

Prior to this role, Kath served as People Strategy Delivery Lead, where she led the delivery of the NDA’s talent and leadership strategies during her secondment from Magnox Ltd. Her contributions focused on succession planning, leadership development, and capability building, all of which positioned her as a natural fit for this group-wide role.

Before joining NDA, Kath spent over 13 years at Magnox Ltd, where she held roles such as Senior HR Business Partner, HR Transition Manager, and HR Projects Manager. She has demonstrated exceptional leadership in change management, culture transformation, and workforce planning, with a strong focus on strategic HR solutions tailored to complex operational environments.

About Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA):

The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority is responsible for the safe, secure, and cost-effective cleanup of the UK’s earliest nuclear sites. With a mission that spans over 100 years, NDA is focused on reducing the highest hazards and supporting the UK’s ambition to be a global leader in civil nuclear decommissioning. The NDA group includes sites such as Sellafield and Magnox and leads one of the most complex environmental remediation programs in Europe.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
