New York, United States, August 2024 – Katie Acevedo has commenced her new position as Vice President of Human Resources, Commercial at Cartier. In this role, Katie is responsible for shaping and driving the HR strategy across Cartier’s commercial operations, aligning the company’s people strategy with its luxury brand vision and business goals.
Prior to joining Cartier, Katie served as the Head of People & Talent at Bluemercury for approximately 1 year and 9 months. In this role, she focused on transforming the company’s HR functions, supporting the engagement and development of Bluemercury’s 1,100 employees across the United States. Her work involved partnering with the executive leadership to evolve HR strategies that aligned with Bluemercury’s growth initiatives and brand portfolio expansion.
Before her tenure at Bluemercury, Katie was the Human Resources Vice President, Head of HR Supply Chain/Logistics at Sephora for about 1 year. She was instrumental in developing a comprehensive HR strategy for Sephora’s U.S. Supply Chain operations, optimizing employee retention and talent management across five distribution centers and a workforce of over 2,500 employees.
Katie also held the position of Senior Director of Human Resources Employee Relations & Compliance at Sephora for approximately 3 years. In this capacity, she built Sephora’s first standardized COE Employee Relations & Compliance operating model and led a high-performing national ER/Compliance team that supported over 15,000 employees.
In addition to these roles, Katie has an extensive legal background in employment law, having served as Associate General Counsel at Sephora, where she managed litigation and compliance for a diverse, multi-national workforce.
