Columbus, Indiana, United States, January 2026 — Cummins Inc. has announced that Katie Jones has started a new position as Executive Director HR Business Partner – Cummins Components and Software, where she will serve as the Human Resources Leader for the Cummins Components and Software Business. In this role, she will partner with business leaders to strengthen talent, culture, and organizational effectiveness across a critical growth area for Cummins.
With a career built on HR transformation, operational excellence, and large-scale talent initiatives, Katie brings deep enterprise experience spanning HR strategy, supply chain HR leadership, and global process redesign.
Prior to this appointment, Katie Jones served as Senior Director – HR Business Partner & Projects at Accelera by Cummins, where she partnered with leaders across the business and designed strategic projects to strengthen culture, organizational effectiveness, and DEI priorities.
In parallel, she founded Elevating Talent Consulting, a consulting firm focused on performance management integration, leadership development, talent assessments, change management, and project leadership. She also supported a Fortune 500 client as a Consultant – HR Strategy and Transformation at Populus Group.
Earlier, she served as Vice President of Talent at MasterBrand Cabinets LLC, leading the talent function for 16,000+ employees in a $3B business through separation and IPO readiness, including expedited transformation of talent technologies, processes, and executive hiring—while also serving as an interim leader for communications, culture, and DEI.
Katie’s earlier career includes a long tenure at Cummins Inc., where she held leadership roles across HR transformation and operations. She led global HR process design as HR Director – HR Transformation Portfolio Leader, directed HR operations for North America manufacturing plants as HR Director – Components North America Supply Chain Operations, and served as Electronics & Fuel Systems Supply Chain HR Director, overseeing HR leadership across multiple global sites. She also held roles in HR operational excellence, enterprise IT HR partnership, functional excellence leadership, and earlier Six Sigma and internship assignments—building a strong foundation in process, change, and talent systems.
