Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India – October 2024 – Kautilya Desai has been appointed as the Chief People Officer at Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL), the flagship company of the Adani Group. In his new role, Kautilya will spearhead the company’s HR strategies, focusing on talent development, organizational culture, and employee engagement across AEL’s diverse business verticals.
Before stepping into the role of Chief People Officer, Kautilya Desai served as Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Adani Enterprises for over five years, contributing to strategic HR operations, talent acquisition, and employee engagement. His leadership was instrumental in enhancing HR functions and aligning them with the company’s growth.
Prior to Adani Enterprises, Kautilya held the position of General Manager – HRBP Corporate Pune & VIVL at Vodafone Idea Limited, managing HR operations, talent management, and compliance initiatives. His tenure was marked by the successful integration of HR strategies post the merger of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular.
Kautilya’s journey in HR leadership includes roles such as General Manager – Circle HR Business Partner and General Manager – Business HR at Vodafone, where he managed life cycle management, HR operations, and employee engagement across multiple regions. Earlier in his career, he worked with Reliance Communications and Reliance Industries, focusing on HR business partnering, compensation, and SAP integration.
