Lancaster, New York, United States, May 2024 – Kelly Wells has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. With extensive experience in human resources leadership, Kelly is set to drive HR strategies and initiatives to support the cooperative’s growth and success.
Before joining Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Kelly served at Sodexo for 6 years and 6 months in various roles. Most recently, she was the Vice President of Human Resources for Airline Lounges – North America from June 2023 to May 2024, where she led HR strategies for the division.
Prior to this, she held the position of Vice President of Human Resources for Energy & Resources from February 2021 to June 2023. She also worked as the Director of Program/Change Management from December 2017 to February 2021, focusing on strategic direction and change management for North America’s Finance function.
Kelly was the Founder of Happy Tummies LLC from November 2016 to February 2018, creating local, organic baby food delivered to Western New York homes. She has also held significant roles at HSBC for over 11 years, including SVP, Regional Head of Strategic Project Implementation/Business Management from 2014 to 2015, SVP, Head of Human Resources — Commercial Banking North America from 2012 to 2014, Senior Manager, Human Resources from 2009 to 2012 in Hong Kong and London, Senior Manager/Director, Relationship Management from 2008 to 2009, and Senior Manager, Human Resources from 2006 to 2008 in Mettawa, IL.
Earlier in her career, Kelly was the Human Resources Manager at The Home Depot from 2003 to 2004, where she oversaw recruiting, staffing, and organizational development for a $27 million store.
