Houston, Texas, United States, March 2025 – Kevin Langford has been appointed as Vice President of Talent & Labor Relations at US Ocean. In this role, he will be responsible for leading workforce strategy, labor relations, talent acquisition, and HR compliance, ensuring alignment with the company’s operational and business goals.
Before joining US Ocean, Kevin Langford served as Interim Head of Human Resources at Electronic Power Design, where he managed HR operations, organizational strategy, and workforce development initiatives during a critical transition period.
Prior to that, he was Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at ExpressJet Airlines & ExpressJet Liquidating Trust for over five years, overseeing human capital strategy, compensation, benefits, labor relations, and talent acquisition for an organization that operated up to 140 aircraft with a workforce of 3,000 employees across 50 states and Australia. He played a key role in organizational restructuring, process improvement, and cost-saving initiatives, including implementing new health and welfare programs and negotiating labor agreements with multiple unions.
Earlier, he held HR leadership roles at BHP, Equinor, and Hess Corporation, where he gained extensive experience in strategic workforce planning, change management, and labor relations across global operations spanning North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Kevin’s career also includes senior HR and labor relations positions at PepsiAmericas and United States Steel, where he led contract negotiations, employee engagement initiatives, and workforce transformation programs.
