Koby Hackradt has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Employee Benefits at Higginbotham, marking a significant milestone in his career. Announced in March 2024, Hackradt takes on this pivotal role with over 14 years of dedicated service at Higginbotham, one of the leading insurance, risk management, and financial services firms based in Houston, Texas.
Hackradt’s extensive experience within Higginbotham, coupled with his prior roles in the industry, has prepared him for this new challenge. Before rising to the position of COO, Employee Benefits, he served as the Managing Partner at Higginbotham, where he played a crucial role in delivering a comprehensive suite of services, including commercial and personal property/casualty coverage, employee benefits, retirement plans, life insurance, and executive compensation plans.
Before joining Higginbotham, Hackradt held the position of Vice President, Consulting at Univers Workplace Benefits, where he specialized in employer-focused solutions in the mid to large market segments. His work involved conducting due diligence of current processes and delivering focused enrollment/communication solutions that had tangible, quantifiable results.
Hackradt’s career also includes significant contributions as Principal at Tandem Benefits, where he was responsible for marketing in a seven-state territory, creating customized enrollment and communication solutions for large employers. Additionally, as Senior Account Executive at Unum, he was involved in cross-selling individual lines of coverage with large corporations and designing innovative product offerings for unique client situations.
At Higginbotham, Hackradt’s leadership as COO, Employee Benefits, will focus on optimizing operations and enhancing service delivery for employee benefits solutions. His role involves strategizing with business leaders, increasing employee understanding and appreciation of employer-provided benefits, and ensuring that Higginbotham continues to lead with value and people-first service.
