BRUSSELS, BELGIUM, August 27, 2024 — Dstny, a leader in cloud-based business communications solutions in Europe, has announced the appointment of Kris De Schepper as the new Managing Director for its Belgian operations effective August 1. Kris takes over from Joachim Lauwers, who has been with Dstny for over a decade, serving as Managing Director for the last six years.
Kris De Schepper comes to Dstny with a robust background in commercial and operational leadership, honed through significant roles at Telenet and bpost. Most recently, he served as Vice President Sales at bpost, where he spearheaded a customer-centric strategy that notably enhanced the SME market segment. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to propel Dstny Belgium’s growth ambitions further.
“I am excited to be part of the Dstny family and very much look forward to working closely with the Belgian team and realizing its ambitious growth plans,” Kris stated. He highlighted Dstny’s innovative platform that integrates cloud telephony, fixed-mobile convergence, and seamless tool integration, such as Microsoft Teams and CRMs, as foundational to the company’s strong market position. “We aim to further strengthen and expand our offerings in Belgium, enhancing connectivity and security solutions for SMEs and large companies,” he added.
Daan De Wever, Group CEO of Dstny, expressed his enthusiasm for Kris’s leadership capabilities. “With Kris’s expertise, we are poised to continue our trajectory from a telecom player to a top-tier international technology firm. We are excited to expand our operations and reinforce our presence across Europe,” he remarked. Daan also took the opportunity to thank Joachim Lauwers for his significant contributions to Dstny’s growth in Belgium.
