Career Journey at Unilever
Kunal has been with Unilever for 17 years and 2 months. In his most recent role as Head of Global Employee Relations & Manufacturing HR (Jan 2023 – May 2024), he was based in London and focused on negotiation strategies, employee relations, and global HR policy implementation. Before that, he served as HR Head for Unilever North Africa, Levant & Iraq for over four years, developing comprehensive HR strategies and policies.
Earlier, Kunal was the HR Head for Unilever Bangladesh, where he led transformational initiatives in talent management, business strategy, and people development. Earlier in his journey, he served as HR Director, Corporate Functions, South Asia, and HRBP for Customer Development (Sales), where he played a key role in talent acquisition, strategic human resources planning, and people management.
His foundational years at Unilever included roles such as Talent Acquisition Manager for India, where he was instrumental in developing recruitment strategies and HR outsourcing processes.
Before joining Unilever, Kunal was the Manager of Human Resources at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Limited, where he oversaw HR policies and strategic planning. He also worked as Assistant Manager HR at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited.
In earlier stages of his career, Kunal gained valuable experience in HR policies and management, holding roles such as Personnel Manager and HR Specialist at various organizations.
