Sterling, Virginia, United States, October 2025 – Avports, one of the most experienced airport management and operations companies in the United States, has appointed Lisa Kizina as Vice President, Human Resources.
In this leadership role, Lisa will oversee all core HR functions including performance management, compensation, benefits, payroll, and the complete employee lifecycle. She will serve as a trusted partner to Avports’ senior leadership team in fostering a high-performance, values-driven culture across its geographically diverse workforce. Her focus will include driving talent strategy through workforce development, succession planning, and data-informed hiring, while strengthening employee and labor relations through effective union negotiations and engagement initiatives.
Prior to joining Avports, Lisa Kizina served as Vice President, People – Corporate at SSP America, where she led workforce administration, HR data management, compensation, and employee relations for one of the region’s leading travel foodservice operators. In this role, she successfully implemented strategic HR initiatives that improved engagement, retention, and overall organizational productivity. Earlier at SSP America, she served as Senior People Leader, providing end-to-end HR support across compliance, talent management, and training functions while promoting the company’s global brand presence in airports across 36 countries.
Before that, Lisa was Vice President of Human Resources at Allbridge, a leading property technology (PropTech) solutions provider serving the multifamily and hospitality sectors. Partnering with the executive leadership team, she led all aspects of human capital management, organizational development, and culture building for the company’s growing portfolio across North America and the Caribbean.
Her most significant tenure was with National Real Estate Advisors, where she spent over 11 years in progressive HR leadership roles, culminating as Chief Human Resources and Administrative Officer. During this period, she built the company’s HR infrastructure from the ground up, developed over 80 people-friendly policies, implemented an HCM platform, and launched culture-defining initiatives that earned the company recognition as one of the “Best Places to Work in Money Management” for seven consecutive years. Her early career at the firm included pivotal roles as Director, Human Resources and Administration and Human Resources and Office Manager, where she introduced data-driven talent strategies and risk management practices that significantly enhanced operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
Throughout her career, Lisa has demonstrated exceptional capability in talent leadership, policy design, cultural transformation, and digital HR enablement, earning recognition for her ability to align people strategy with organizational purpose and growth.
