Inkognitogate, Norway, August 2024 – Louisa Hughes-Espedal has joined Spenn as the Chief People & Operations Officer. In this new role, she will lead the company’s human resources and operations strategies, driving organizational excellence and operational efficiency as Spenn continues to expand its innovative loyalty program partnership between Norwegian and Strawberry.
Louisa brings extensive experience in HR and operations leadership to Spenn. Prior to this role, she served as an HR Business Partner at Norwegian from November 2022 to July 2024. Here, she played a critical role in supporting various business areas, including finance, commercial, marketing, IT, and procurement, focusing on leadership development and employee engagement.
Before joining Norwegian, Louisa held the position of Head of People & Operations at Tryg Norge from April 2022 to November 2022. In this role, she was instrumental in managing the transfer and closure of Codan Insurance to Tryg, ensuring a seamless transition while maintaining high levels of employee engagement and operational continuity.
Louisa also has a rich history with Codan Forsikring (Norway), where she held several senior roles over a 13-year period, including Director of Claims & Business Operations. She successfully led change and restructuring processes during Codan’s acquisition by Tryg, ensuring operational excellence and staff motivation throughout the transition.
Earlier in her career, Louisa gained valuable experience in business development and project management at Codan Forsikring, White Label Insurance ASA, and Trygg-Hansa, contributing to strategic initiatives and process optimizations across these organizations.
