Dublin, Ireland – Maeve O’Meara has ascended to the role of Head of Human Resources for GM Europe at General Motors, coinciding with her first anniversary at the company. This new position sees her overseeing HR operations not only at GM’s Europe hub in Zurich but also across retail centers in Germany, France, Sweden, and the IT groups in Ireland and the UK.
Maeve’s rapid rise at General Motors reflects her profound impact over her short tenure starting in May 2023. Prior to her promotion, she served as the Regional HR Leader for European Markets, bringing strategic oversight to the multinational workforce.
Before joining GM, Maeve enriched her HR expertise at Medallia, where she was Head of HR for Ireland and Northern Europe from February 2021 to February 2023. Her role included collaboration with various HR centers of excellence, enhancing employee relations and integrating diversity and inclusion practices into corporate strategies.
Her previous roles also included significant positions at Storyful and Dropbox, where she led major HR initiatives that shaped corporate cultures and improved employee satisfaction across several regions.
With over a decade of HR leadership experience, Maeve’s career is distinguished by her strategic input in talent management, operational HR, and organizational effectiveness across Europe and beyond.
