Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa, November 2025 — Mandy Hudson has taken on a new role as Chief People Officer at Sustainable Power Solutions (SPS), marking a significant milestone in her 17-year journey across HR leadership, talent strategy, and people transformation within South Africa’s energy, digital, and services sectors. In her new role, she will guide SPS’s people agenda as the company continues to expand renewable energy capacity across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Immediately prior to this appointment, Mandy served at EDF Renewables South Africa, where she spent close to four years in roles including Senior People Business Partner, Human Resources Business Partner, and Human Resources Generalist. Across these roles, she strengthened talent frameworks, built scalable HR operations, and supported organizational growth within South Africa’s fast-evolving renewable energy landscape.
Before joining EDF Renewables, she worked with Sigma Connected SA as a Management Recruiter, supporting leadership hiring and organizational capability requirements across people-intensive service environments.
Earlier in her career, Mandy led her own consulting practice — Mandy Hudson HR Consulting Services — where she partnered with a range of organizations on HR/IR advisory, recruitment solutions, workforce planning, and policy development. During this entrepreneurial period, she built a strong reputation for delivering practical, people-centric HR interventions across hybrid and on-site environments.
In her foundational years, she gained extensive HR and recruitment experience across respected organizations such as DigiOutsource, Digitas Liquorice, and Mango5, strengthening her capabilities in talent acquisition, HR operations, employee engagement, performance processes, and HR governance. These early roles shaped her well-rounded perspective across HR functions, preparing her for strategic leadership positions in later years.
