Kolkata, West Bengal, India, July 2025 — Manish Chopra has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer at SABYASACHI, the iconic luxury fashion and jewellery house under the Aditya Birla Group. Based in Kolkata, Chopra will closely collaborate with Founder and Creative Director Sabyasachi Mukherjee to steer the next wave of global growth for the brand, which is widely regarded as a standard-bearer of Indian luxury.
Before joining SABYASACHI, Chopra served as CEO – New Business Development Initiative at Reliance Retail Ventures, where he led the launch and scaling of new ventures in the retail domain. Previously, he was Director and Head of Partnerships at Meta (Facebook India), managing growth across media, payments, and platform partnerships.
Chopra’s entrepreneurial acumen was shaped by co-founding and leading ventures like Little Internet Pvt. Ltd. and Zovi.com, where he built and scaled digital-first consumer platforms backed by marquee investors. His earlier leadership experience includes impactful roles at Microsoft, where he served as Chief Operating & Marketing Officer for Indonesia, and regional strategic positions at Oracle, Intiqua, and PwC.
A graduate of SPJIMR (SP Jain Institute of Management & Research) and Panjab University, Chopra brings with him over 30 years of experience across technology, retail, and consumer sectors, making him well-suited to lead SABYASACHI’s global aspirations in luxury and lifestyle.
