Marija Marelja Joins Pro grupa as Head of People Development and Organizational Culture

Zagreb, Croatia, June 2025 — Marija Marelja has been appointed as the Head of People Development and Organizational Culture at Pro grupa, where she will drive employee engagement, leadership capability, and organizational transformation in support of the company’s continued growth in financial advisory and insurance solutions. With over a decade of diverse experience in human resources and operations, Marija brings deep expertise in culture-building, people strategy, and team empowerment.

Prior to joining Pro grupa, Marija served as Head of HR at Implant Centre Martinko, where she was instrumental in developing and executing HR strategies aligned with business goals, including succession planning, talent management, and organizational performance. Her strategic insights helped shape a culture of high performance and leadership accountability across the medical organization.

She began her tenure at Martinko as Human Resources Coordinator, during which she established recruitment frameworks, internal regulations, and learning programs. She was also responsible for implementing exit interviews that provided valuable insights to reduce employee turnover, contributing to a more resilient and productive workforce.

Earlier in her career, Marija worked as Human Resources Administrator at Health Tourism Martinko, overseeing payroll, contracts, HR databases, and benefits administration. Prior to entering the HR field, she held roles such as Retail Banking Officer at Privredna banka Zagreb, PR Assistant at Grayling, and Operations Manager at Clavis Aurea d.o.o., where she gained cross-functional exposure in client service, public relations, and operations.

She has also volunteered with CRVENI NOSOVI klaunovidoktori and held academic support roles at “Baltazar Zaprešić” University of Applied Sciences, where she assisted in areas such as corporate social responsibility and crisis communication.
