York, Pennsylvania, United States, December 2025 – Mark Oberdick has taken on a new role as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at I.B. Abel, Inc., assuming responsibility for leading the company’s overall people strategy in support of long-term growth, workforce excellence, and organizational effectiveness. In this role, he partners closely with the leadership team to align workforce planning, leadership development, and change management with the organization’s vision and core values.
Prior to his appointment as CHRO, Mark Oberdick served as Vice President of Human Resources at I.B. Abel, Inc., where he led the HR function and worked closely with the President/CEO and senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies supporting profitable growth. His leadership focused on talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, leadership development, performance management, and compliance across the organization.
Before joining I.B. Abel, Mark spent nearly two decades with GGS Information Services as Vice President of Global Human Resources, overseeing HR operations for a global workforce across the United States, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, India, and Japan. In this role, he led enterprise-wide initiatives spanning talent acquisition, employee relations, leadership development and succession planning, total rewards, safety, and corporate communications.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Glatfelter as HR/Labor Relations Manager, managing comprehensive HR and labor relations programs for a large, 24/7 manufacturing operation, gaining deep expertise in industrial HR and labor relations leadership.
