Martina Herington has recently stepped into a significant role as Director of Human Resources at TrueBlue, supporting the PeopleScout and PeopleManagement lines of business. With a robust background of over a decade in human resources, Herington is set to bring transformative leadership to TrueBlue’s talented teams.
Before joining TrueBlue, Herington served as Manager of People & Culture Services at WSECU, where she was instrumental in revamping the recruitment and onboarding processes and played a key role in policy and vendor management. Her tenure at WSECU also involved leading major cultural initiatives and HR policy compliance that aligned with organizational values and legal standards.
Previously, Herington enhanced HR operations at the Washington State Department of Ecology as a Supervisory Senior HR Consultant from March 2019 to January 2021. In this role, she led the Human Resource Operations Technical Team and provided strategic HR consultations across various management levels, emphasizing compliance with state and federal laws and fostering workplace equity.
Her experience also includes a critical role at the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services, where she provided strategic HR consultation from November 2017 to February 2019. Here, she was known for her work in leadership development and complex HR issue resolution, which included overseeing administrative investigations and performance management.
Herington’s extensive experience also spans roles at State Farm and as a Learning and Development Specialist, where she developed and led training programs that closely tied to strategic business objectives and comprehensive change management initiatives.
